An AI startup by Dror Margalit and Somya Gupta
This project is not for you. I know nothing about you, what you care about, or how you prefer to retain information. So how can I write something that will be meaningful to you? And why, from courses learning to courses at top universities, so many learning experiences don’t consider how each individual learner prefers to learn? Context, an AI-powered learning platform, aimed to change the way we learn by tailoring every bit of the educational experience to learners' goals, needs, and learning preferences. It allowed educators to turn their knowledge into fully AI-taught online courses.
Context is an agentic system that delivers fully AI-taught courses. Instructors upload articles, videos, and books and set teaching rules; the system builds an interactive course that adapts to each learner. It allows one educator to support an unlimited number of students simultaneously. Under the hood, it combines LLM and RAG to take knowledge from entire academic courses and turn them into engaging experiences personalized to every learner.
1 Educator → Unlimited Students

Educator designs the AI course
Educators can upload their materials and define their teaching approach. Our platform makes it easy to organize your content and specify your unique pedagogical methods.

AI teaches students
AI teaches based on credible material and adapts to each learner. The system personalizes the learning experience while maintaining your teaching approach.
Continuous improvement
The AI learns about students' strengths and areas for improvement to enhance engagement and provide meaningful insights to the educator
Things we are proud of:
Personalized learning at scale: we’ve supported thousands of learners across various AI courses.
University design partners: ran pilots and iterations with New York University (NYU), Pace University, and the University of Waterloo.
Ecosystem validation: completed NYU's most selective startup accelerators, such as NYU’s Summer Launchpad accelerator and Stern Berkley Center for Entrepreneurship Entrepreneurs Challenge.
Talking to over 300 educators and learners while researching and iterating on how to improve learning.
Received highly selective grants.
