AI is the Message is a constrained-written "poem" that retells Marchal McLuhan's "The Medium is the Message" with today's most talked about technological advancement. To make it, I took the first couple of paragraphs from the original text where McLuhan coined the term "the medium is the message," extracted from it only the sentences with the word "medium," and replaced this word with the word "AI."
To write this "poem," I couldn't resist using AI. I asked ChatGPT to write a JS script that takes the paragraphs as a string, finds the right sentences, and replaces the word "medium" with "AI." I could just ask GPT to do this task on its own, but I thought that it would be nicer to have it wright the "algorithm" that does that.
