Rubber ducks have been spreading joy and happiness across the globe for almost a hundred years. Since their invention, people found them meaningful in many ways, as toys, collection artifacts, and more. In I Didn't Choose Rubber Ducks; They Chose Me I explored mythological and symbolic dimensions of rubber ducks. By interviewing the rubber duck collector, Mica Lages, and exploring archival videos of rubber ducks representation in entertainment, I discovered that the meaning behind rubber ducks exceed way beyond its materiality.
